The 29-months-old flatcoated retriever dog appears full of spirit and shows a desire to move. His instinct to play is highly developed.
Endurance, boldness, toughness, awareness:
He is attentive, he persistently pursues his goals.
Prey and retrieving instinct, tracing and searching instinct:
His prey instinct is highly developed, he carries and delivers prey.
Obedience and bonding:
He displays a good bond and willingness to be submissive.
Disposition towards humans, circle test, supine position:
When dealing with strangers he was friendly and secure, he is secure lying on his side and walking through an alley of people.
Disposition towards optical and acoustical stimuli:
Optically and acoustically secure and unfazed.
Shot-proofedness:
The dog is shot-proofed.
Assessment of inherent hunting ability (jagdliche Anlagensichtung / JAS)
The JAS is an examination of a young retrievers inherent hunting ability organised by the German Retriever Club (DRC). The participating dogs can not be older than 18 months. Paule’s test results can be found on the DRC site.
